Childrens' feet
Signs that indicate abnormalities include:
- Awkward walking styles
- ‘Growing pains’
- Abnormal wear patterns on shoes
- Skin lesions such as corns, calluses & blisters
- Constant tripping or falling
Foot shape is not determined until teenage years. It is therefore important that the foot is able to develop correctly. It is imperative that shoes are fitted correctly and any problems (no matter how small) are addressed before the foot is fully developed.
Advice can also be provided on selecting appropriate footwear for your child and their stage of development.
